LESVOS CHAMBER
Chamber's Legislation (law 2081/92)
Aim of the Chamber of Lesvos:
The Chamber of Lesvos in accordance to the paragraph 1, article 1 is
"an obligatory and independent union of natural and legal authorities, who exercise commercial activities in a certain district and they constitute legal authorities of public sector.
The Chamber of Lesvos performs under the administrative supervision of the Minister of Commerce (in reference to the legitimacy of it's actions in the frame of the independence it has been
given)".
We must note down that in reference to the Chambers independence it should be emphasized the paragraph 3 of article 2 which says that
"The Chambers, because of their independence, have the right to act with a small deviation from the existing laws, but in the limits of their approved annual budget, in order to realize their aims and
goods".
In accordance to the paragraph 2 of the article 1 aim of the Chamber of Lesvos is
"the protection and the development of the commerce and industry, in it's region, in the limits of the interests of the national Economy.
The giving of decisions and suggestions, to the state, for every economic mater, in order to develop the interests of it's region and of the national economy. Also the giving of suggestions and information for every legal mater to everyone who is
interested".
Members of the Chamber of Lesvos:
In accordance to the paragraph 3 of the article 1 members of the Chamber of Lesvos are obligatory:
- The natural authorities that have their commercial state in it's region.
ό The legal authorities and the associations only if they have commercial capacity and they have their state in it's region.
- The branch offices of domestic enterprises and the branch offices of foreign enterprises,the agencies and also the productive units, only if they have their state in it's region.
Checking of the titles and of the distinctive names of the companies:
In accordance to the article of the article 7 of the new law, the Chambers not only maintained the keeping of the protocol of the titles, but also have been introduced a new order, which says that the Courts of Justice, the Prefectures and the Public Economic Services, don't give commencements and they don't contemplate constitutions if the corresponding justificatory papers don't be accompanied with assurances or
contemplations of a certain Chamber in order to check the titles and the distinctive names of the companies.
